San Diego Information

From the blue Pacific to the white desert sands, San Diego has something for everyone.

The city is a unique and laid-back community with big city comforts, yet still has a small town feel to it. The ambiance of San Diego is one of the primary reasons that over 32 million visitors a year come to find some piece of mind. With an average temperature of 72° F and 300+ days of sunshine a year, this is a great city to spend some time in. If that is not enough to convince you to come to San Diego, maybe the beautiful scenery will.

With the San Diego Zoo located in the heart of the city, it offers visitors a chance to experience the zoo in all its grandeur.

There is over 70 miles of coastline available for you to explore. The beaches of San Diego are one of the primary draws for visitors. From the 2-mile long stretch of beach at the Hotel Del in Coronado to the small, crescent shaped beaches in La Jolla, long walks or some peaceful sunshine are easily available. Mexico and many state parks are within a short drive of the city.

The central part of San Diego is where many choose to spend their time and this area is full of things to see and do. One option could be wandering around the 1,200-acre Balboa Park, home to the San Diego Zoo, the Old Globe Theater, and many of the city's museums. The park is what is left from the Pan-American Expo and its Victorian architecture sets it apart from the rest of the Spanish-style buildings that dot the city.

A short drive away is Mission Bay, home to Sea World and some aquatic opportunities. There is 27 miles of shoreline for you to explore, 4,600 acres of water to enjoy, and plenty of city parks that allow you to barbeque and enjoy some San Diego sun. A few minutes away is Old Town, a small Spanish enclave and state park that is well worth a visit. Old town highlights the great Spanish missions and heritage of San Diego before the American period and offers you a chance to find some of the best margaritas in the state!
