The 2008 Pacific Life Holiday Bowl promises to deliver major excitement as the University of Oregon Ducks take on the Oklahoma State University Cowboys on Tuesday, December 30th. There will be plenty of high flying festivities to set the stage for the playoff beginning with the San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade held at 9am December 29th along the Bay on Harbor Drive. The parade follows the athletes with giant inflatables, bands, a stream of impressive floats and is a real crowd pleaser boasting showy displays of pride and enthusiasm. Broadway Pier hosts the Amtrak Family Festival that continues after the Parade and includes food, entertainment and games. On game day, head over to Qualcomm Stadium early for the Wells Fargo EndZoner’s Party. Tailgaters can take part in this celebration featuring a massive all-you-can eat Hawaiian barbeque and traditional Ugly Shirt Contest. Inside the Stadium, Sycuan will sponsor a pre-game show highlighted by marching bands, pageantry and a giant American Flag. Halftime will be a party in its own right and you won’t want to miss the fireworks display. Dr. Pepper will launch the final quarter with a competition for cash!
