Miramar Air Show

The Blue Angels will return to San Diego for the 2008 MCAS Miramar Air Show. This fast-paced, high-flying display of aeronautical masterpieces will take place on October 3, 4 and 5 this year. There will be military and civilian performers in addition to a Marine Air Ground Task Force Demonstration with special explosives effects including the Great Wall of Fire, an intense 2,500 foot inferno with a fireworks finale. Other performances include the MV-22 Osprey, B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber and F-22 Raptor. The US Army Golden Knights, the world's premier parachute team, will show off their amazing aerial skills. The Silver Wings Wingwalking Team will delight enthusiasts with a flying circus. Pack lawn chairs, coolers and blankets and watch as much of the show as you wish for free, or purchase preferred seating online and enjoy Chalet, Box or Grandstand seating. The gates will open at 8:00 a.m. with a radio-controlled aircraft demonstration. Day performances kick-off at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the Blue Angels fly late in the afternoon. The twilight performers will close the show with aerobatics featuring Fat Albert, The Patriots and Red Bull MIG from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
