The Del Mar Racetrack 2012 thoroughbred season will open on July 18, 2012 with contests, shows and events. The Del Mar Racetrack is celebrating another year of racing and this season promises to be filled with more fun than any other on record! Music, giveaways, galas, cook-offs and special events will accompany the racing experience with some sort of extravaganza nearly every day. The hugely popular Summer Concert Series will return with big name bands. Acclaimed jockeys and trainers will make appearances on Donuts Days. There will be a Party in the Paddock on September 5, 2012 signifying the official sendoff of the season's racing featuring live music, food and awards.
